I’ve been having weight issues since forever, and I’ve tried just about anything short of surgery: hitting the gym, diets, signing up for packages at weight management centers. In the end, what I’ve got is just a heavier body and a lighter wallet.

One of the first diets I tried was the Medifast Diet. It comprises of low fat, low carbohydrates, and ultra low calorie plan. Apparently, people have lost up to 20 lbs in just 30 days when following this diet.

Another diet I tried was the Flat Belly Diet. The Flat Belly Diet suggests a 1600 calorie diet with emphasis on unrefined foods and allows taking once in a month very little red meat, which is difficult for me because I love meat! The Flat Belly Diet is not as popular as results are slow, the book is expensive and the diet is complicated. If you want to get the book from me, just drop me a comment later.

There’s this other diet that is very popular called the Zone Diet, which basically means a diet with low carbohydrate diet plan where proteins do not dominate the carbohydrates which enable the dieters to get energy from carbohydrates than from protein or fats. It’s confusing when one diet tells you not to touch carbs while another discourages protein. The Zone diet enables you to stabilize hormones and when excess insulin is released into bloodstream, it contributes to weight loss and lowers risks of other chronic diseases.

Perhaps the most famous of them all is the Atkins Diet, a high protein diet that provides a long term weight loss and weight management plan, where the food consumed makes the body burn fats instead of storing the fats. About 40% of the people tend to leave the Atkins diet midway due to the severe food restrictions, but then again, that’s why it’s called a ‘diet’, isn’t it?

About the Author:

You know, it’s always a good thing to enrich your info bank. No, I’m not talking about money, I’m talking about broadening and increasing your general knowledge. Some people have selective attention, they see what they want to see, they seeks what they want to know. However, we often pick what we want to read, and if we are honest, news that are of no proper use for us (like celeb gossip) are the things we like the most.

So how about changing your perspective and start reading facts instead of rumors? Wouldn’t it be more worthwhile to spend your time reading things that are actually true and beneficial? Just recently I was looking into getting myself a second-hand vehicle because the one I am driving is quite costly to maintain (with the petrol hike and everything else inflating). It’s common sense to check before you buy, so i did a little survey on the cars (old and not-so-old) that may seem to be a good deal for my preference and budget.

I stumbled upon 10facts.com, a website that give you facts on health, technology and autos. So out of the list of cars I wanted to research on, I found that the ones that probably suit me best are: Volvo S80, Opel Astra GTC, Opel Astra and Toyota MR2. Yeah, I know the differences are huge, but each has its own uniqueness.

Anyway, back to the fact of knowing facts. It came across to me how important it is to get the facts from credible sources because when I ask 10 different people for their opinions on a certain thing, I get very confused with 10 different feedbacks, hence I prefer to use 10facts.com because of the short and simple sentences and load of information. Then again, that’s my opinion, not a fact, but still, there’s no harm in trying out, right?

About the Author:

The company I work for recently conducted some focus groups to determine brand awareness of our website and company as well as the brands that we carry. Now, I was not necessarily surprised that no one knew our company name but what did surprise me is that only one person in two focus group sessions, totaling about 20 people, could name a brand of window treatments. That company was Hunter Douglas which happens to be the biggest manufacturer of window treatments on the planet. They are headquartered in the Netherlands and have annual sales well over 2 billion dollars.

Now, I realize that a sample size of 20 people is not large but it still surprises me how little attention and awareness there is of this facet of consumer goods. We almost all have some kind of window treatments in our houses. Just so you know there are many other brand names, there’s Levolor, Bali, Kirsch, Graber, Comfortex and a few others.

What is it in the nature of window treatments that is so forgettable? I do have theories. First, and most importantly, window blinds, et al are a very infrequent purchase. You could purchase blinds for your house and not think about them again for years and years. Your infant child could be out of high school before you considered redecorating. Secondly, I believe that people do not have an emotional attachment to window treatment brands. There is no, “keeping up with the Jones’” aspect. It is not like your neighbor is going to notice that you bought a set of brand new Bali aluminum mini blinds for your living room and be envious. Your neighbor might not even notice and if he/she did, the conversation would not be about the brand. It would only be a simple acknowledgement of something new within your home.

Let’s take this analogy a step further with a comparison of another infrequent purchase, automobiles. On average people buy a new car roughly every 3-5 years. The automobile industry has done a much better job of branding and selling an emotional attachment to their products. Think back to the “keeping up with the Jones’” analogy. I bought a new car a few months ago and my neighbors went out of their way to compliment me. I feel good driving around in my brand-name car. It tells people that, “yes, I make decent money,” whether that’s true or not. I bought new window treatments for my house and I don’t think any one even noticed.

If I were the marketing manager for, let’s say Hunter Douglas, I would spend a lot more money on branding. I would work to create an emotional attachment to the cache of owning their brand of window treatments. In the end, if consumers do not have an emotional attachment to a brand, especially with regards to something like window treatments, there will be little or no loyalty and catch-as-catch-can sales. I would work to make my brand the must-have, make-my-neighbors-covet my brand name window blinds. Then the next time your neighbor comes for a visit, he/she will say, “Are those the new Levolor pleated shades? I heard about these, they are nice! I gotta get me some of those.”

Window treatments are a forgettable product but brands like Hunter Douglas with their large annual sales should be doing better at branding their blinds.

About the Author:

You’ve heard of celebrities undergoing Gastric Bypass, but do you know what it really is? From what I learned from 10facts.com, Gastric bypass is a form of procedure to reduce weight. It changes the entire anatomy of the digestive system and is done to promote loss of weight for people who are overweight. In fact, the stomach pouch is reduced to the size of a small egg and portions of the small intestine are bypassed in a gastric bypass surgery. It works this way: the food never enters the lower part of the stomach but goes to the duodenum and yet the stomach usually stays healthy and produces gastric juices.

But of course there are other ways to manage your weight! I, for one, don’t have the money for expensive surgeries like that. Instead, I opt for other alternatives like the Animal Pak, which are supplements that use natural energy boosters. Although it’s not exactly a diet formula, but at least I can save a lot of money! Actually, the Animal Pak is mostly used by athletes and bodybuilders.

Whey Protein is also used by bodybuilders and as it helps in accelerating muscle development and speeds up recovery from injuries, does not contain sugar or fat but does not help in fat loss but to some extent helps in maintaining weight by reducing calorie intake and boosting lean body mass. If you are thinking of replacing your meals with Whey Protein, think again: overdose of whey protein may cause overloading to the liver and benefits of taking Whey protein in lower amounts may not be available if taken in excessive dosage. Whey protein may be consumed immediately after meal or not later than 30 minutes after the food which may produce a spike of amino acids in the blood.

About the Author:

The Internet is abundant of systems that promise you to beat the roulette, the blackjack and in general every single casino game. As a professional player nothing entertains me more than to read all these systems of disasters, as I name them. The fact that many people are eager to pay their money in order to acquire these systems impresses me even more and on the same time scares me visualizing the moment the will try to implement their newly acquired skills. I have to admit that occasionally I read an interesting approach but 99 times out of a hundred these are ******* acts, still people continue to buy them.

That motivated me to start writing a book exploring betting systems for casino use which will be available on the Internet pretty soon. Initially of course I had to understand and answer the perennial question that most people ask: “If there is an error proof system, guaranteeing your living why would you want to share it with other people?’. It is a basic question asked by those who don’t believe that it is possible to win in a casino. It is a question of negation which reveals fear of winning.

The answer is yes my system does function 100% and yes this is all I do, living a life of my choice; and no, I don’t mind making an extra million or so selling my system and also I don’t mind people getting to know who I am and what I have achieved. Likewise, I don’t mind if someone else does exactly the same because first of all I am not an agent of the Internal Revenue Service and secondly because no matter how many people do employ my system, the casinos are not able do defend against it. After all, if they could it would qualify as a disaster and not a real system.

Often I see sites and affiliates implementing great marketing campaigns in order to sell software for online casino gaming. I cannot cease to wonder why people still invest in algorithm based casinos. I understand that ten years ago that was the only way to play via the Internet. But now there is a way to play on real time, from the comfort of your house, connected with a genuine casino and not an internet based one, witnessing authentic results and not the outcome of an invisible algorithm.

Still, people choose to invest on algorithms and that fact reveals that although there are thousands of gamblers out there, there are very few real professional players. And this is the answer to the above mentioned question, why people buy all these junk systems. Simply because they are not real players and they lack sufficient experience, the “smart” marketers and affiliates make money based on their ignorance.

How is possible for an incredibly big number of affiliates to make money proposing a system that doubles your bets on black/red? And yet there is such a “system” that convinces ignorant players that they will make hundreds of dollars each day just by doubling your pot on binary bets. Indeed it is better to play Russian roulette than to implement such tactics.

My advice therefore is simple and straightforward. If you want to avoid falling into despair, do yourself a favor before buying anything that promises to turn you into high rollers and immensely wealthy. Go to a real casino, or in case you cannot on an online live casino and test all these tactics that promise you riches beyond your imagination.

Only real results can give you an accurate picture of what may happen during a game. Don’t be hasty in deciding what works or not. Give ample of time to your observations in order to eliminate pure chance. Familiarize yourself with the system you want to implement prior making any investment, either in real chips or buying any product.

Personally I believe that a real system should be profitable each and every day, without any exceptions. Believe me there is at least one such system. Nevertheless a successful system is never based on a single parameter or is it so simple that even a kid may be able to implement it. The systems that can actually keep you alive during the battle are always complicated in their implementation that not everybody is able to put them in action.

About the Author:
