Funny thing, I guess I can consider myself a pioneer then.. I used my Commodore 64 on a 300 baud modem to access BBS or online bulletin board system’s since 1986. It was so slow I could almost read as fast as the info came down my modem. I was 16 when I started and gained lots of knowledge, it was very entertaining and met very interesting people by doing so.
Thou Doom in 1993 changed it again for me. I upgraded my 1mhz 8088 with a 20mb hard disk and got my a 486. I was networking at work on a Netware 3.12 network and we had 4 486DX2/66 with 64mb of RAM and 20” CAD monitors… on platonic’s headsets playing Doom then Doom 2 till our eyes would bleed. In the 70’s and 80’s it was just plain boring. Now I have no time to do all the things I want to.

Computers are still in their first “stage”. Maybe second. Imagine a entirely voice activated, SMART, AI that is controled from a small station approximately 12 inches tall and 6 inches across, with optional monitor built into the wall. That is the 3rd stage of computers. And no I didn’t get that all from Halo 2. I actually belive that AIs will be so smart, you can have a decent conversation with them. Like a person. And you could tell it exactly what you wanted, and it would do it. For example: Programming. Instead of typinga long boring phrase for something as simple as walking in an MMORPG, you could tell it ” When player hits ‘W’ key, move forward at 12 KPH” and then players could move forward in your MMORPG. ANd they would have built in satalite internet, so you could converse with your AI and have access to the internet whenever you wanted. And they could have multiple personalities. Like Cortana from Halo 2. Or you could program one yourself. For example: I’d want my AI to be Demi Moore. Of course by the time AI PCs are invented, it will probably be Demi Moore XI
